Thank you for your interest in the Friends Church Summer Internship Project! Our aim with these internships is to train up leaders to change the world with the good news of Jesus and so we are excited to discover who God has to join our team for the Summer of 2022!

The Staff at Friends Church

Purpose: To train up leaders to change the world with the good news of Jesus by providing them with practical ministry experience and intentional coaching that develops professional skills, encourages personal formation, broadens perspective on the church, and clarifies God’s calling.

Key Dates: Application Deadline February 1, 2022 Intern Selection March 1, 2022 Summer Internship Project May 23 – Aug 2, 2022 (10 weeks)
Compensation: 30 hours/week @ $15.00 hour (non-exempt) Pay dates are bi-weekly
General Weekly Schedule: Hours may vary depending on specific events and ministry needs
10 hours Professional Duties Plan and implement ministry events, facilitate ministry communication with volunteers/leaders/parents/students, maintain database/calendar/budgets, organize weekly gatherings, attend regular trainings/meetings
15 hours Relational Ministry Facilitate weekly gatherings, lead small groups, mentor individuals through one-on-one relationships, Participate in various summer events/camps/trips
5 hours in Personal Development Weekly supervisor meetings, guided personal study, group meals and discussions, staff retreats/training seminars, personal journaling, regular evaluation, weekend gatherings

Criteria for Acceptance: Love for God the Bible and the Church Creative / Innovative Disciplined / Hard working Collaborative Team Player Maturity (Spiritual, Emotional, Social) Flexible / Open Humble / Teachable / Willing to Learn Strong Communication Skills
