Position Summary: As the Campus Mobilizer, you will be equipped to guide believers’ hearts, minds, and feet towards fulfilling the Great Commission through the ministry of WorldVenture.  Your focus will be on inviting others to join in the work God is doing as a missionary though WorldVenture in the world.  This effort is accomplished through networking and relationship building with like-minded colleges, universities, seminaries, and other key college campus ministries.  There will be opportunity to encourage church leaders in their missionary sending efforts, cast vision, as well as guide and challenge potential candidates as they seek God’s direction. The Campus Mobilizer will report to the Vice President of Partner Ministries with frequent collaboration with the Partner Ministries Leadership Team (Director of Training and Partner Ministries Operations and the Director of Administration for Partner Ministries) as well as other key stake holders within the organization.
Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strong agreement with WorldVenture's Statement of faith
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate new and existing partner relationships with a focus on long-term missionary service with WorldVenture
  • Develop strategies to broaden awareness of WorldVenture amongst known campuses and seminary partners for WorldVenture as well as new potential college, campus, and seminary partners
  • Speak at key colleges, seminaries, campus ministries and key gatherings to identify, attract and recruit future global workers to WorldVenture
  • When possible, meet face to face with interested candidates and pastors to develop relationships and gauge interest and readiness for missionary service with WorldVenture
  • Advising potential missionaries through spiritual mentorship, discipleship, missions coaching and the candidacy process, ensuring proper fit, readiness, and placement
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices, monitoring mission opportunities, mobilization practices and external communication
  • Strategic planning to maximize travel while considering budget constraints
  • Participate in and contribute to the daily life of the Partner Ministries team including attending all regularly scheduled prayer calls, meetings, trainings, online community interactions and special events (as needed)
  • Remain current on all WorldVenture policies and procedures related to the recruitment, screening, and onboarding of new Global Workers
  • Track and report progress using established metrics while maintaining appropriate records of candidate information and interactions to ensure that there can be continuity and collaboration the role
  • Record candidate information, relevant interactions, and track all relationships using Salesforce
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Engaging and excellent communicator orally in both public and private settings, as well as in written proposals/materials. Must be skilled in engaging others via face to face, video calls, phone, and email
  • Strong networking and collaborative leadership skills
  • Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Extreme discretion, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence
  • Forward thinking, creative, outside-the-box thinking, and able to develop and execute plans with concrete targets and goals while thinking strategically and casting a vison
  • Well versed in missiological thought and praxis
  • Ability to work remotely and independently with limited supervision, self-motivated and disciplined
  • Willingness to work nights and some weekends as needed and accommodate meetings across multiple time zones
  • Comfort with and ability to utilize technologies including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM’s, and Social Media

  • Proven commitment to a personal relationship with God and a desire to serve Him in global ministry
  • Christian character that reflects our values as an organization and dedication to WorldVenture’s ministries
  • Affirmation of the doctrinal statement, sexual conduct policy, and child safety policy
  • Demonstrated warmth, empathy, and trustworthiness in relationships
  • Respect for those from nations and cultures other than their own
  • Service-oriented attitude toward others
  • Team player displaying humility and a learner’s attitude

Education and Formal Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of five years professional experience
  • Church or ministry experience with a focus on college or campus ministry is helpful
  • A solid understanding (via formal or informal education or training) of the Bible and God’s missional and redemptive heart
  • Experience in both cross-cultural and local church ministry; a solid understanding of the North American church, particularly in relation to the sending of missionaries
  • Previous cross-cultural ministry experience preferred
