Assistant Director/ Clinical Training Coordinator at Whittier College

Reporting to the Director of the Student Counseling Center and the VP/Dean of Students, the Assistant Director/Clinical Training Coordinator will support the Director by providing high quality identity-conscious clinical services to students in need, being available in on-call/crisis situations.

The Assistant Director/Clinical Training Coordinator will be skilled with techniques for counseling students with diverse backgrounds and will advance the missions of the Counseling Center, Student Life team and Whittier College by providing excellent student support, while being keenly sensitive to diversity issues that may impact full engagement in the academic and co-curricular education at Whittier College.

The Assistant Director / Clinical Training Coordinator will supervise graduate trainees at the practicum, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level. They will plan, prepare and present the graduate training program in accord with the requirements of APA ethics, and graduate school expectations, also directing the annual selection process for graduate staff.
