Director of Children and Youth Ministry

 

The Wethersfield United Methodist Church seeks a person to serve as Director of Children and Youth Ministry who shares the vision and theology of the United Methodist Church and has experience working with children and youth.

This individual will be asked to enhance our established program, develop and coordinate the Christian education program for children and youth, lead the Methodist Youth Fellowship, and oversee Sunday School Teachers and Parent Volunteers.

This part-time position averages 16 hours per week, with a pay rate of up to $20.00 per hour. Preparation work does not need to be done at church, although Sunday morning church attendance is required.

The Director of Children and Youth Ministry will work closely with the Pastor and Education Committee and be able to work with other youth group organizations in the greater United Methodist Church to help organize and implement activities in which our youth can participate.
