Walden Community Church is located in Montgomery Texas and we are seeking a passionate individual with strong Christian values to lead and develop the Youth program for our youth (grades 6-12) as you new Youth Pastor.

 

The candidate must have strong organizational and leadership skills, a mature vision for mission/outreach, and a passion for mentoring youth.

 

The Youth Pastor will create and implement a Youth Ministry program (which may include Sunday morning study, Wednesday evening study, small groups in homes, mission/outreach opportunities, summer camp, winter camp, and holiday socials) and develop further programming as desired.

 

It is strongly encouraged that the candidate be enrolled in or a graduate of some form of Bible school or has a youth or education background, or previous experience.

 

The Youth Pastor will be a staff member at the church and will fulfill all the roles they are given.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

The youth pastor must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have the ability, initiative and passion to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ through a variety of youth ministry models to Students.
This staff member must have the ability to establish mentoring relationships with students through a variety of avenues including social media as well as the ability to communicate well with students, parents, the Church and Christian Education Boards and other members of the church.
This staff member must have the ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere.
This staff member must have the ability to: organize, plan, teach and supervise youth lessons and activities; recruit, motivate and train others in student ministries.
This staff member should be proficient and knowledgeable in presentation software and modern technology (including email, texting, facebook, twitter, youtube, Microsoft office etc)
Must live close by to the Montgomery TX area
STATUS: Part time 25-30 hours a week
