CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

We are looking for a Part Time Children’s Ministry Director who will lead, build, and coordinate the children's ministry of our church, Nursery through 5th grade.

 

The Children’s Ministry Director will oversee the Children’s department, with a special emphasis on recruiting, training, and developing leaders and volunteers who will serve Walden Community Church so that Children in our program will have an impactful weekly experience and who will learn to love God more and love each other more.

 

Responsibilities include the development, implementation and coordination of curriculum and materials, recruiting and training volunteers, planning a yearly calendar, leading classes, leading special events, organizing a children’s choir to perform seasonally and planning and leading VBS in the Summer.

 

Applicant must be available Sundays for Church services

Tuesday for staff meetings

Wednesday evening for mid-week church

 

Skills Needed:

 

A mature relationship with Jesus Christ.

Exhibits relational and leadership skills.

Strong communicator and good speaker

Self starter with strong initiative

People person who works well with others

Has a strong passion for kids and families.

Adapt at technology & willing to engage through social media

Must be able to work within a budget.

 

Experience:

Looking for someone with experience working for a church, school or childhood development.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Walden Community Church is a non-denominational church located in Montgomery, TX.
