Job Posting: Community Pastor (Part-Time)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Community Pastor with a passion for community building, theological soundness, and pastoral care to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, professional, kind, and has a deep commitment to fostering diversity and creativity within the church. This part-time role involves leading weekly community events, onboarding and caring for new members, and organizing discipleship training in partnership with the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
• Theological Leadership: Bring a strong theological foundation (M.Div. or current seminary enrollment required) to lead and inspire the community.
• Community Building: Plan, lead, and oversee weekly community events that foster connection and spiritual growth.
• Pastoral Care: Welcome new members, check in with them regularly, and provide ongoing support to ensure their spiritual needs are met.
• Discipleship Training: Collaborate with the Executive Director to organize and lead discipleship training initiatives.
• Pastoral Counseling: Utilize training in pastoral counseling to provide guidance and care to individuals as needed.
• Administrative Excellence: Demonstrate strong administrative abilities to manage events, member care, and trainings effectively.
• Artistic and Inclusive Leadership: Embrace diversity and bring a passion for creativity to enrich our community culture.
Qualifications:
• Theological training with an M.Div. (completed or currently enrolled).
• Pastoral counseling coursework or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to build and nurture community relationships.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• A heart for diversity and inclusion in all aspects of ministry.
• Artistic inclination or appreciation for creative expressions in worship and community life.
Position Details:
• Type: Part-Time
• Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Base $20/hr
• Location: Pasadena Ca
