Senior Director, Bryant Neighborhood Center at Trinity Presbyterian Church
Tacoma, WA 98405

Trinity Presbyterian Church (TPC) is a congregation in the northwest corner of Tacoma, Washington’s Hilltop neighborhood. Founded in 1891, Trinity has a long history of serving our neighbors and is excited to continue that work with the opening of the Bryant Neighborhood Center (BNC).

The Bryant Neighborhood Center vision is to see a diverse, connected, and empowered Bryant Neighborhood, with neighbors actively participating in the development of a healthy, just, and sustainable community. To work towards that vision, the BNC will focus on:

  • Honoring the history and legacy of the Bryant Neighborhood, recognizing current trends around gentrification and displacement;
  • Ensuring that those in the neighborhood have their basic needs met;
  • Encouraging and empowering neighbors to grow and develop; and
  • Connecting neighbors to encourage community-driven solutions for long-term positive change

We seek a founding Bryant Neighborhood Center Senior Director to work closely with the community to launch the center while supporting Trinity’s own work to develop its congregation missionally as individuals and as a collective. We seek someone who can creatively lead this mission with our Bryant Neighborhood and the congregation. The Senior Director of the BNC will implement this vision through infusing the mission and vision of the center in the life of the congregation, developing meaningful relationships with the members of the Bryant neighborhood, cultivating community partnerships that respond to community need, overseeing the development, implementation and assessment of meaningful programs, and growing a sustainable fund development plan.
