The Shepherd's Staff is honored to be working with Journey Mennonite Church in South Hutchinson, KS as they search for a Campus Pastor. Journey is a vibrant, enthusiastic family church with a thriving multi-campus ministry approach.
The Campus Pastor is responsible for directing the activities, implementing the vision and mission of a specific campus of Journey Mennonite Church.

Build healthy relationships with the pastoral team and volunteers.
Model passion and commitment to those you lead.
The Campus Pastor’s primary accountability is assigned to the Journey Directional Pastor or the Journey Teaching Pastor.
Ultimate accountability is to Journey Mennonite Church congregation, which calls pastors, and the conference body which issues credentialing for pastoral ministry, with the support of South Central Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
In accord with Journey policy, the Campus Pastor meets regularly with an Accountability Team for support, encouragement, and discernment on matters of personal and family life, physical well-being, and spiritual health and growth.

Competence: “Excellence honors God and encourages others”. Is committed to being a lifelong learner by reading books and attending workshops/seminars
Chemistry: Create environments for healthy teamwork to take place.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides leadership to and supervision of campus ministry teams in collaboration with other pastoral leaders.
Leads and facilitates the campus weekly worship services, contributing music, teaching, and other spiritual gifts and abilities.
Leads and supervises the campus pastoral care ministries: visitations, pre-marriage counseling, funerals, crisis counseling and intervention.
Leads and facilitates the engagement with new attenders from initial contacts into increasing connection with Journey life and personal spiritual growth.
Leads and facilitates the group life ministries of the campus where full-time or part-time staff are not tasked with this function.
Leads and facilitates the campus relationships with community church and civic partners in shared mission. Oversees the campus process of making Journey facilities and physical plant assets available for use by community church and civic partners.
Supervises campus specific staff as deemed appropriate.
Serves on the Leadership Team of Journey.
