DESCRIPTION OF POSITON

The Exchange church is looking for a passionate, qualified bible teacher and disciple-maker to assist in the raising up of gospel fluent, biblically literate, adult disciples by providing seasonal, in-depth bible teaching, small group mentorship / training, and occasional preaching to supplement the teaching of our lead pastor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·        A growing personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ

·        The character qualifications of an Elder as taught 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9

·        A call to pastoral ministry from God

·        Full agreement with and commitment to the theology, mission, values, membership covenant and ministry philosophy of The Exchange Church

·        A passion and ability to teach the bible and educate young adult believers

·        An M.Div / M.A. from an accredited seminary or concurrent enrollment

 

MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Prepare and lead 8-12 weeks of biblical / theological studies per year

·        Preach 6-8 times per year

·        Lead a men’s small group

·        Provide periodic equipping for small group leaders

·        Assist in planning and leading worship services and special events (e.g. attending meetings, praying, presiding, etc.)

 

WORK EXPECTATIONS & SALARY

·        Maintain a 15-18 hour work week (flexible to allow for bi-vocational ministry)

·        Support and submit to the leadership of the Lead Pastor and Core Leadership of the church

·        Work alongside other leaders and members

·        4 Weeks PTO (excluding illness / emergencies), so long as it is scheduled in advance

·        This is a part-time salaried position; compensation will be $30,000 per year
