Job Overview:

San Diego Calvary Korean Church aims to be a biblical community by equipping all the saints through the Word and prayer to make true Disciples of Christ. We are seeking a Jr. High Pastor (6th Grade to 8th Grade) who will oversee all ministry to Jr. High students with the supervision of the Education Director. The Director/Pastor will nurture students, equip teachers and educate parents in a loving and safe environment to raise lifelong disciples of Jesus.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Part-time: A currently enrolled student is getting an M. Div degree from an accredited seminary. Potential to Full-time

 

Characteristics:

1. Must be a born-again Christian

2. Must meet the scriptural qualifications of a minister (1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)

3. Must speak English (Bi-lingual in Korean & English preferred)

4. Must have a team ministry mindset

5. Must have passion and love for the next generation

6. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills: able to maintain healthy, motivating relationships with pastors, elders, and volunteers in a Korean-American Immigrant Church context.

Church Description

The San Diego Calvary Korean Church has founded in 1989 thanks to the grace of Jesus Christ and is located in central San Diego, California. This church is a member of the International General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Korea. The San Diego Calvary Korean Church (Senior Pastor: Pastor Kim Do-il) hopes to become a church that is full of God's life and love, a church full of God's presence and glory, and a church that experiences a spiritual revival.
