PRINCIPLE FUNCTION
The role of the Creative Director (CD) is to communicate the vision and values of our church through compelling and creative graphic and video content while working closely with other media/creative team members and under the supervision of the Executive Pastor to effectively produce digital, web, print, and social media promotional materials using multiple platforms. The candidate will work with other staff to support worship services, including stage set-ups, lights, computers, audio, social media, and live streaming.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Modeling Biblical Priorities
Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Red Bank Baptist Church. The CD should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ. The CD models a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable). The CD strives to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions.
These objectives are accomplished by:
Committing to a daily quiet time with God.
Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.
Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of Red Bank employees, as defined by the Staff Handbook.
2. Creative Design
Responsible for designing sermon series graphics, event promotions, and other digital or print materials.
Direct and/or capture the story of what God is doing through our church with photography, videography, graphic design, and other visual tools.
Work to create and promote strategic outreach initiatives through graphic and digital formats.
Maintain church websites, apps, and social media outlets and update them with creative elements as needed.
Support the worship ministry to help with audio, visual, and lighting as needed.
Help develop, recruit, and train a team of volunteers to serve in photography, videography, special design, AVL, and other areas of production.
Continuing education and growth in the area of the applicable software.
Essential Abilities
Create dynamic visual content for sermon series, upcoming events, special initiatives, and other projects.
Experience in creating and designing marketing materials on multiple platforms.
Possess a strong ability to work with team members who specialize in a variety of disciplines (i.e., graphic design, video, social media, app development, etc.).
Possess a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premier).
Possess a working knowledge of DSLR cameras; understands best practices related to photography, videography, lighting, and audio.
Possess the ability to create content from scratch, demonstrating a strong eye for typography, color, layout, and overall design.
Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written, verbal, and digital platforms.
