We are seeking a visionary Worship Music Leader to lead our congregation in a worship experience that honors our rich tradition of hymnal music while thoughtfully introducing modern, ambient, spiritual, and folk-inspired styles. The ideal candidate will be both a skilled musician and a creative collaborator, passionate about deepening our Christ-centered experience and fostering an environment that encourages unity, peace, and connection in our evolving community.

Responsibilities

Worship Coordination: Collaborate with the pastor and program leadership to plan music for all scheduled worship services, ensuring alignment with sermon themes and worship goals.

Seasonal & Special Events: Plan and lead music for seasonal programs (such as Love Feasts, Christmas Eve Service, and both Christmas and spring programs) and special events, including member weddings and memorial services.

Monthly Preparation: Prepare and coordinate music for each month’s worship services, selecting pieces that balance tradition with fresh, connective expressions of faith.

Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and rehearse with musicians and vocalists from within the church and beyond, fostering their development and encouraging participation.

Meeting Participation: Attend relevant meetings and activities, including Music and Worship Commission meetings (when requested) and scheduled worship team gatherings.

Community Engagement: Create opportunities for the congregation to participate in music, strengthening community bonds and deepening spiritual connection.

Program Support: Assist with music for church programs and outreach efforts, as needed.

Administration: Manage music-related logistics, such as scheduling rehearsals, maintaining instruments, contacting musicians, and overseeing the music budget
