Children and Youth Coordinator at Pasadena Mennonite Church
Pasadena, CA 91107

Pasadena Mennonite Church (PMC) located in Pasadena, California, seeks an Apprentice/Intern to help coordinate Children and Youth Ministries for 10 hours per week. Position is nonexempt and compensation is $20-25/hr depending on experience, or an honorarium. The Intern reports to the Lead Pastor.

Who we are: We are an open and affirming faith community of about 75 active adult and children/youth participants in the Pacific Southwest Conference of Mennonite Church USA. We seek to follow Christ’s calling by living out our Anabaptist and Mennonite faith commitments to making peace, seeking social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion and to serve and support the needs of our region and world. We affirm our responsibility to teach and nurture the faith of the children and youth in our community.

This apprenticeship/internship is an opportunity for college, seminary, or graduate-level students who are discerning a vocation in ministry or non-profit work with children or youth. Our church has welcomed and supported many interns over the years who grew into pastors and leaders rooted in Jesus’ life and teachings. We also offer the chance to receive mentorship from our lead pastor, Katerina Gea, who invites creative, innovative ways of imagining the future of the church and ministry in changing times.

Please see this Apprenticeship Description for more details. Note that if a Fuller student would like to use this opportunity to fulfill their apprenticeship (field education) requirement, it will still be subject to review by the Fuller Apprenticeships Department.
