Worship Ministry Leader

Purpose

Orchard Church of Chico is searching for an individual who has a passion to produce music that leads people to worship in the presence of God.

Desired Qualifications

• A strong faith in Jesus Christ.
• Strong theological understanding of the reformed Christian faith.
• Ability to lead worship vocally and with an instrument like keys, or guitar.
• Comfortable, speaking, singing, and praying in front of an audience.
• Familiarity and audio technology and sound engineering equipment.
• Communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Make sure that songs are chosen and the band is ready.
• Assist using online based planning software to schedule worship teams.
• Communicate with scheduled band members.
• Build relationships with the band, the church, and the community.
• Lead the congregation in praise and worship on Sunday mornings.
• Help to set up and tear down.
• Communicate well with the Pastor.

Hours

7-10 hour a week:

Includes at least 2 hours on Sunday morning. Hours for the rest of the week are flexible for preparation.

Pay

Starting at $15 per hour.
