About the job
The Foster and Adoption Director will be responsible for the overall operation of a foster family agency office, including issues related to agency placed foster children, agency certified foster families and employees who work within the foster program. The position will supervise the Case Manager Supervisor, Family Specialists, Adoptions Social Workers, Intake Coordinator, and Administrative Support Staff.
Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following: Social Work; Social Welfare; Marriage, Family and Child Counseling; Child Psychology; Child Development; Counseling Psychology; Social Psychology; Clinical Psychology; Educational Psychology; or Education with an emphasis in counseling.
- Two years of full time social work or case work employment in the field of family or child welfare services, or Two years of full-time work or case work employment in a licensed foster family or adoption agency, plus At least one year of full-time work experience in a supervisory capacity in the field of child care, foster family agencies, or a closely related field
