Morning Star Church (MSC) is a Spirit-filled church planted over twenty years ago who honors God through an authentic commitment Jesus Christ.

 

The Assistant Worship Leader is responsible for leading worship on stage during our Sunday services at 9:00am and 11:00am. During the week this position assists our creative and service planning teams to unearth new ways to make the Sunday morning experience engaging and impactful. This position will also provide worship support as needed to other ministries such as Celebrate Recovery, Discipleship Classes, Student Gathering, etc.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure preparation for, and lead worship team rehearsal.

• Develop team members (Band + Vocalists) sufficient to carry out the weekly needs of services.

• Recruit, train, and develop new members and volunteers quarterly.

 

Competencies:

• Skilled and talented in vocal and instrumental direction.

• Can proficiently play the guitar and/or piano.

• Must have a quality singing voice and engaging stage presentation.

• Experience with or the ability to learn Planning Center Online (PCO), Ableton Live 11,

ProPresenter 8 and possess a basic understanding of MIDI automation.

• Team player with good relational skills and a positive attitude.

• Experience with the use of technology in worship such as lighting, worship software, sound systems, Video projection, etc.

• Self-starter who strives for quality

• Collaborate and maintain a healthy working relationship with worship team members, the congregation, and members of the community.

• Innovative and the ability to suggest new ideas regularly.
