JOB TITLE: Visual Content Creator/Media Technician
The visual content creator is tasked with telling stories through creative video, photography and graphic design for the church. The ideal candidate has an eye for cinematic style, a broad understanding of current trends in both graphic design and pre-produced video production, and a passion for excellence. The candidate should have experience with or an aptitude and desire to learn the operation of live production media equipment in the areas of audio, video and lighting. The candidate will work with the Media and Communications staff to create content as needed and support media needs of weekend worship and other events.
Status: Exempt Full-time
Office Hours: M-Th, Su as required by scheduled hours; W as required by scheduled activities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Membership: Required
SALARY RANGE: $45,000-55,000 - Based on Experience
BENENFITS: Currently- Health Insurance, 3% Annual Salary Retirement contribution, 10 Days Vacation, 2 Days PTO, 1 Floating Day, 10 Days Sick Time, and 11 Days Holidays
Qualifications:
Must be a mature follower of Jesus Christ
Passion for ministry in and through the local church.
Minimum High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required.
Highly creative thinker and producer of ideas and concepts, and able to craft broad ideas into a compelling story.
Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, creative environment.
Have the ability to take a project from concept to completion individually and as part of a larger creative team.
Have ability to produce quality deliverables, on time and on budget. Must be detail oriented and creative.
Experience and applied knowledge of digital video, computer-generated graphics, video projection, audio post.
Up to date with latest technologies and best practices pertaining to video content production.
Familiar with both Mac and PC operating systems, graphic editing software and principles and common video editing platforms (Adobe Creative Suite)
Ability to produce, direct, shoot, and edit videos; and video capture
Exhibits analytical problem-solving and excellent communication skills
Understanding of Social Media and its use in ministry.
General knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and management of a wide variety of multi-media equipment including audio consoles, theatrical lighting, and digital video systems, computer networking is a plus.
Agrees to the standards of behavior outlined in the MBC Personal Conduct Policy and all other provisions of the MBC Employee Handbook.
Responsibilities:
This position will share time between the Communications and Media Ministry at Mobberly Baptist Church
The content creator will report to the Director of Communications and Director of Media Ministries.
There will be some overlap in tasks, such as completing sermon series graphics and a sermon series video bumper.
In addition to serving in a media support position on Sunday, the content creator will generally divide time as follows: Mondays and Wednesdays they will be primarily tasked with Media projects, and Tuesdays and Thursdays they will be primarily tasked with Communication projects.
Attend creative meetings, work with worship, media and communication staff to create compelling content for weekend worship services, special events, social media and print projects.
Specific Communications Tasks
Complete graphic design projects as assigned by Director of Communications
Design task include, but are not limited to, logos, booklets, announcement slides, email newsletter graphics, social media graphics, postcards, stationary, business cards, special projects and other design projects as needed.
Create the weekly welcome guide for worship services- both for print and online.
Work with Director of Communication and other Communication staff to deliver files and coordinate printing as needed.
Specific Media Ministry tasks
Fill a media support position each Sunday.
Cross train on multiple positions and across disciplines- audio, video and lighting.
Provide media support on Wednesday evenings to the Mobberly KIDS ministry.
Fill media support positions as needed for special events
Work with Director of Media Ministries to create compelling video projects.
Video projects may include highlight reels, in service videos, promotional projects, testimonies, sermon bumpers and other creative projects for use in worship and on social media.
§ Trim video and audio of weekly worship services, post online and to our podcast channels.Work with Communications staff to create short, stylized clips from the weekly sermon for social media.
Maintain professional growth through continuing education, skill development and professional involvement in the areas of print, web, social media and general marketing principles
Maintain a program of spiritual and professional self-development
Environmental & Physical Demands
Able to stand 2-3 hours per day
