Mercy Multiplied is a nonprofit Christian organization with residential and outreach programs designed to empower people of all ages to live in freedom from life-controlling behaviors and situations, including eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, unplanned pregnancy, depression, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. Our residential program is for young women ages 13-32 and our goal is to help residents permanently stop destructive cycles, discover purpose for their lives, and become productive and thriving individuals. Our outreach programs and resources are based on the same biblically based principles used by Mercy homes.

We have an immediate opening for a Residential Supervisor, Weekends staff in our home located in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is eligible for paid time off and insurance benefits.

Overview: Our Residential Supervisor position is a very important role. Staff serving in this capacity is responsible for monitoring the home during the overnight shift and providing support to residents as they navigate through the program. In order to be successful in this role, one must have a passion for serving, a clear understanding of boundaries, as well as a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics.

33 Hours/Week (full-time)

Week 1*:  Friday 4:00 pm - Saturday 5:00 pm; Sunday 4:00 pm - 12:00 am (overnight shift into Monday, as shown in Week 2)

Week 2*:  Monday 12:00 am - 8:30 am; Saturday 4:30 pm - Sunday 5:00 pm

*Staff is compensated for sleep time.

To be successful in this role, one must have the following:

Some college preferred but not required.  Must have a high school diploma or pass a general educational development test (GED
Good communication skills
Works well under pressure
Ability to multi-task
Ability to set good boundaries
Must have CDL (or be able to obtain CDL)
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.  Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

Summary of Responsibilities:

Home Responsibilities:

Oversee the weekend schedule of events in the home
Type and send the Weekend Report and Sunday Daily Report to all Home staff
Answer the phone and monitor the front desk of the home throughout the weekend
Ensure that all sharp items (knives, scissors, etc.) are logged in and out at the front desk
Oversee weekend use of petty cash and handle all money related activities on the weekend
Check all interior and exterior doors at night and set the alarm after lights out
Rent and monitor content of movies for the weekend

Staff Responsibilities:

Review weekend plans and coordinate which staff will administer each duty
Supervise Weekend Residential Assistants
Supervise and make overall decisions for the weekend, with direction from Program Director when necessary

Resident Supervision:

Supervise weekend meals, work details (household duties), snack times, after meal monitoring, and tweezers/clipper distribution for the residents
Check work details (household duties) including the room/bathroom details according to the checklists provided for staff
Coordinate residents’ personal phone calls (excluding persons on restricted phone list)
Distribute mail to the residents
Check residents in and out for weekend visits
Check out residents being dismissed, graduating, or leaving prematurely
Discipline residents as needed
Monitor the resident’s appearance, conduct, and conversations
Mediate conflict when needed and be available to talk or pray with residents
Check rooms after lights out to ensure the residents are in bed and obeying the rules
Supervise meals and residents’ plates to ensure they meet the appropriate nutrition guidelines set by the Nutrition Manage


Must be responsible for safe transportation of residents when needed (special events on the weekend, church on Sunday mornings, to and from the airport and to the hospital)
Other duties as deemed necessary
