Mercy Multiplied is a nonprofit Christian organization with residential and outreach programs designed to empower people of all ages to live in freedom from life-controlling behaviors and situations, including eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, unplanned pregnancy, depression, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. Our residential program is for young women ages 13-32 and our goal is to help residents permanently stop destructive cycles, discover purpose for their lives, and become productive and thriving individuals. Our outreach programs and resources are based on the same biblically based principles used by Mercy homes.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant/TC Liaison staff in our home located in St. Louis, Missouri.

To be successful in this role, one must have the following:

Bachelors degree in Social Science preferred but not required.
Must have a high school diploma or pass a general educational development test (GED).
Previous residential or social work experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills required
Exception communication skills are required (written and verbal)
Must be a people person who is very detail oriented and able to work under constant deadlines
Must be familiar with youth in transition and with residential programs
Must be able to multi-task and handle numerous crisis and non-crisis situations with the ability to prioritize these situations
Must be dependable and able to work alone
Must be a team player and flexible to help as needed
Excellent experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Must have a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics

Summary of Responsibilities:

TC Liaison Duties:

Current Residents:

Assists primary counselor with aftercare plans by conducting weekly meetings with current residents approaching graduation
Schedules and coordinates Life Skills Classes for upcoming graduates
Facilitates Transitional Care Life Skills video presentation and conversation surrounding resident’s forthcoming transition and Mercy Multiplied’s shift in support

Former resident contacts and communication:

Provides supportive confrontation, action plans, and challenges former residents and graduates from their Mercy home within the resident’s first year after leaving the program
Answers and returns phone calls and emails appropriately

Provides a Weekly Liaison Contact Report to TC Manager providing summary of week, including names of all former residents and graduates with whom they communicated
Receives feedback on follow-up needed with former residents and graduates from TC Manager

Receives Aftercare Forms from all accountability partners during their 6-month commitment with graduates and provides support as needed
Works with Transitional Care Manager to act as a resource for graduates for immediate intervention and connection to community resources
Sets appropriate boundaries and maintain a coaching rather than a counseling stance in all communication with former residents and graduates

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

Reviews the Daily Report to stay informed of things going on with residents in the home
Provides administrative support to the Director of Counseling and Counseling Staff (typing, filing, faxing, calling, etc.)
Manages aftercare schedule, ensuring that Director of Counseling and appropriate Counselors are informed
Schedules 30/90 Day Resident Evaluations and works with Director of Counseling to coordinate group schedule and resident assignments

General Home Responsibilities:

Assists in transporting residents to and from the mall and special outings as needed
Monitors the residents while they are away from the home and addresses disciplinary issues as the need arises.
Assists as needed throughout the Home
Must be responsible for safe transportation of residents when needed
Runs errands for the home as necessary
