Position Title: Menlo Kids Coordinator
Department: Children’s Ministries-General / Menlo Park
Supervisor: Menlo Kids Director
Direct Reports: n/a
Classification: Regular / Part-time 20-25 hours / Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
Menlo is a multisite church in the San Francisco Bay area and a member of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. Our Menlo Park campus is one of five locations throughout the Peninsula and South Bay. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will support an integrated ministry that partners with parents and the broader church family to successfully launch children into a lifetime of faith in Jesus Christ. Being a part of a multisite church, the Menlo Kids Coordinator will need to have a strong collaborative nature and be able to work in a matrix organization. You’ll work closely with our Menlo Park campus team and report directly to the Menlo Park Menlo Kids Director. In addition, you’ll collaborate with the Central NextGen team and other Menlo Kids staff from various campuses. All our locations comprise one church where everyone is welcome, nobody’s perfect, and anything’s possible.
The MK Coordinator equips us for rapid growth and enables us to more fully invest in supporting volunteers, serving current families, and reaching our neighbors. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will focus on early childhood, which includes infants through pre-school aged children. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will prepare materials and physically set up the classrooms each week. You’ll schedule volunteers, answer questions, and provide support to parents, families, volunteers, and lay-leaders. Our volunteers, children, and families come from a variety of backgrounds, so it is important that our MK Coordinator feels comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
We are looking for a MK Coordinator who is proactive and can help us keep the ministry organized and on track. The MK Coordinator will need to be organized, relational, and handle change and unexpected surprises with grace. Our ideal candidate will have a servant’s heart, feel called to serve children and their families, and be willing to do whatever needs to get done to help the team. At Menlo Church, our staff is a team of humble, hopeful, and gritty Jesus-followers who do what we do so that people can find and follow Jesus.
