About the Congregational Youth Pastor:

Mariners Church is looking for a Congregational Youth Pastor who will work alongside Doug Fields  (Youth Ministry Pastor), Josh Griffin (Junior High Pastor), and a small team of full-time Pastors and Directors to provide common and strategic direction for the Youth Ministry. They must be a devout follower of Jesus and have a passion for the teaching and inspiration of the next generation. This candidate is responsible for the oversight, building, and steady improvement of the Youth Ministry at Mariners Church.


The Congregational Youth Pastor Responsibilities Include:

Complete oversight of Congregational youth ministries.
Creation and additions of the Mariners Youth Ministry Playbook.
Build systems to move content/curriculum to the congregations.
Conduct regular wellness/DNA checks of all the congregations.
Build a farm system to get new youth workers trained and ready to lead their own congregations.
Invest in the Irvine Junior High Ministry.
Invest in the Irvine High School Ministry.
Weekly YM team meetings, weekly Zoom congregational meetings.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required.
Must have 7-10 years of church ministry experience preferably in Youth/Student ministry.
Previous experience as a Pastor working in a multi-site church preferred (not essential).
Personal Characteristics & Qualifications

Love and follow Jesus.
Embrace a high biblical standard of personal conduct and lifestyle.
Agree to and adhere to the church's statement of faith and leadership commitment.
Attend Mariners Church.
Willing to work weekends and some evenings.
Ability to lead a small congregation team as it grows.
