Job Summary
Our Youth Group consists of 70+ students ranging from 6th through 12th grade and is expected to grow in the upcoming years. We are looking for someone to work in partnership with our current Youth Pastor to lead our Youth Group and Youth Sunday School programs. An ideal candidate will have experience developing lifelong followers of Jesus, counseling and mentoring students through the trials of navigating school, social and family life, and equipping parents to raise their children to know the Lord.

Main Responsibilities
* Co-lead weekly Friday Youth Group: Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to youth members, including but not limited to teaching, mentoring, and discipleship.
* Develop an engaging curriculum for Youth Sunday School and coordinate teaching schedules.
* Build pastoral relationships with families, equipping parents to be the primary spiritual influence on their kids
* Recruit, spiritually develop, and work with youth leadership and youth counselors to plan, administrate, evaluate, and develop the youth ministry.

Shared Responsibilities
* Create, plan, and execute youth events, retreats, and mission trips
* Collaborate and communicate with pastoral staff and church leadership on youth specific initiatives
* Attend Sunday morning worship, retreats and other church events
* Be supportive and participate in pursuing the mission and goals of Lord’s Grace Christian Church (See: LGCC’s statement of faith)

Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited seminary with a Master of Divinity or a comparable Master of Arts degree
* Experience preaching and teaching Scripture, proclaiming the power and truth of the gospel clearly, accurately, and effectively, and developing solid and relevant life applications from proper biblical exegesis and hermeneutics.
* Trained and gifted in equipping, empowering, and motivating the youth to become mature followers of Christ using an intentional and relational discipleship model (Ephesians 4:12-16)
* Experience and effectiveness with spiritually developing and working with volunteer youth counselors so they can effectively disciple, mentor, and counsel youth.
* Strong communication skills; proficiency in Mandarin preferred but non-essential.
* 2-3+ years experience in youth ministry
* Passionate about youth and committed to the long term growth of the Lord’s Grace Christian Church youth group

Compensation

Between $70,000-100,000 and benefits based on experience
