ABOUT THE CHURCH
Living Hope is the college and young adult ministry, who prefer an English-Speaking environment at the Lord’s Church of Austin. This ministry began in 2018 as a prayer gathering with people who were hungry for the Word and had a desire for others to learn about God’s heart for this world.  Our purpose is to provide members of the English-speaking college and young adults at the Lord's Church a place to worship and have fellowship with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

We are a growing ministry of about 30-40 members; our weekly attendance is between 25-30 people. Our current members are college students, single young adults, and married young adults.

The Lord’s Church of Austin is a Christian Reformed Church (CRC) transformed by the joy of worship and serving the nations. We are recruiting a part-time pastor who loves the Lord, loves people, has a heart to grow this ministry, and to join the greater church vision.

QUALIFICATIONS
Faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Graduated from an accredited seminary with a Master’s degree in Divinity
Ministry experience of at least 2 years (recent graduates with experience considered)
Understands the culture of a Korean immigrant church
Currently residing in the United States and legally able to serve in a part-time ministry position
Collaborative with KM leadership (Conversational Korean required)
Ordained as a pastor in a sound denomination
If not ordained, we prefer someone who is willing to be ordained in the next few years

RESPONSIBILITIES (PART-TIME)
Teaching & Worship Leadership

• Preaches weekly Sunday sermons that are biblically grounded, Christ-centered, and relevant to the congregation’s spiritual growth
• Provides overall leadership and oversight for Sunday worship services, ensuring they are organized, meaningful, and aligned with the church’s vision

Pastoral Care & Counseling

• Provides pastoral care through intentional relationship-building, meeting regularly with members to offer spiritual guidance and counseling as needed
• Proactively connects with newcomers and follows up with members who have been absent, fostering a culture of care and belonging

Leadership Development & Training

• Spiritually leads, equips, and mentors ministry and administrative leaders, cultivating a culture of servant leadership and thoughtful planning
• Actively participates in and contributes to regular leadership meetings

Staff Collaboration & Church Life

• Collaborates closely with the KM (Korean Ministry) in communication and execution of church-wide initiatives
• Supports general pastoral responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Pastor
• Demonstrates humility and accountability by faithfully submitting to the leadership and vision of the Senior Pastor

COMPENSATION
Salary range: $20,000-25,000, depending on experience and qualifications
Additional information:

• Reports directly to the Senior Pastor
• Part-time hours:
  • Weekly on Sunday: 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM
  • Total weekly workload estimated 20 hours for sermon preparation, preaching, leadership meetings, counseling, and special events.
