Overview:

Little Saigon Christian Reformed Church (Little Saigon CRC) is located at 10321 Bolsa Ave., Westminster, CA 92683. We are in the center of the Vietnamese community where most of them are not Christians. Our church has about 65 members who get together to worship God on Sunday service. With the motto “We care for you and your family”, we wish to develop our church as a great family in God through helping every member in the church to have spiritual grow, and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Vietnamese community around the Little Saigon area. We are currently searching for a senior pastor who shares the same view with us as reformed faith, a person who is passionate in loving God and his congregation. In addition, that pastor also needs to have strong preaching and leadership skills and a highly relational and passion for people and for God’s work.

Job Description:

1.      Study, preach, and teach the Word of God

2.      Provide care, emotional and spiritual support to the congregation as a Shepherd of the Flock

3.      Spend necessary time every day into prayer and preparation for Sunday service

4.      Provide pre-marriage counseling and conduct special services such as funeral, wedding, baptism, etc.

5.      Together with the elders, visit the sick in homes and hospitals

6.      Contact prospective members and invite them to the community of the church

7.      Conduct regular meeting with elders and deacons monthly to discuss about the programs and financial circumstance of the church

8.      Teach membership class for those who wish to become members

9.      Together with the elders and deacons, attend conferences twice a year

10.  Conduct regular meetings with other members of the church staff to review, evaluate, plan, and implement special programs in church such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter

Qualifications:

1.      Character: has a Holy life as described in 1st Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9

2.      Skills: preaching, administration, counseling, music, working with youth, working with seniors, small group, conflict resolution, one on one discipleship, leadership development

3.      Doctrine: Reformed faith

4.      Personal: married, fluently in English and Vietnamese (speaking, reading and writing)

5.      Education: Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Theology from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years experience in ministry from a previous church

Salary & Benefit Package:

·         A senior pastor needs to work 25 - 30 hours a week

·         $25,000 - $35,000 depending on experience

·         Vacation: 1 week for the 1st year, 2 weeks / 2nd year, 3 weeks / 3rd year, 4 weeks / 4th year (4 weeks cap)

·         Other benefits as agreed upon hired
