Programming Coordinator (Full-time)

re:mix is the name of our amazing youth ministry for 6th-12th grade kids. We have grown around 15% year after year into what we are now. Currently we have 30 leaders and about 200 kids involved. We strive to be a vibrant, Jesus-focused community. Relational ministry is in our veins.
About the Role:
We are ready to welcome an individual to oversee and execute various aspects of youth ministry programming. This role has flexibility during the week but working on Sundays from approximately 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm is a must. Also, the expectation is to be on site during Sunday morning services.
This role is a great fit for someone who is proactive (i.e., can work independently and set
priorities amidst multiple demands), creative, loves teamwork, communicates well, knows how to delegate, and has some experience working in teen environments.
Work closely with fellow youth staff in creating and executing a current, faith-based, multi-faceted youth ministry.
Lead from the stage often with confidence and clarity.
Oversee set-up and tear-down for Sunday re:mix and other gatherings as needed.
Work closely with admin+logistics to create, purchase, assemble supplies for Sunday re:mix.
Work closely with admin+logistics to create, purchase, assemble supplies for retreats.
Work closely with admin+logistics+building operations staff to repair, organize, secure rec equipment, lighting, furniture, etc.
Develop and nurture supportive friendships with our youth leaders.
Develop and oversee student serving roles (tech, rec, etc.)
Participate as needed in Lake Forest staff meetings and gatherings.
This person will report directly to the youth ministry team leader.
Committed follower of Jesus
2+ years youth experience (with church, YoungLife, etc.)
Proven record of working well on a team
Ability to effectively delegate roles and tasks
Finger on the pulse of teenage culture
Public speaking experience
Manage a wide variety of weekly tasks
Well organized and detail oriented
Proficient in Mac computers and technology
High School degree required/Bachelor Degree preferred
This staff position is a full-time non-exempt position, averaging 40 hours/week.
The salary is in keeping with regional salaries for similar roles in churches of our size.
