POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Programs provides support to the Executive Director of Laity Lodge by collaborating on the creation, design, and support of programs, providing direction for all communication, branding, and merchandising efforts, and by offering strategic support to all arts initiatives.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Since 1961, guests from all walks of life have come to Laity Lodge retreats designed to reawaken a sense of the sacred. Through ordinary practices —rest, reflection, recreation, shared meals, prayer, and the arts—guests experience restoration to other people, creation, God, and self.

PROGRAM MISSION: Laity Lodge is an ecumenical Christian retreat center established as a place to encourage the laity—the people of God. As part of the H. E. Butt Foundation, Laity Lodge brings together scholars, theologians, musicians, artists, and guests into a unique environment of beauty, hospitality, and mindfulness,
for the purpose of encouragement and renewal. We seek to inspire the imagination of individuals to be agents of shalom in the world.
