Overview
La Habra Christian Church is looking for a musically-gifted, spiritually-mature,
biblically-grounded Christ follower to lead worship (music) under the direction of our Lead Pastor. We are a growing church with a vision of being a community where
people experience God’s love as we stay on mission to be fully devoted followers of
Christ as we pray, love, serve and give.

Job Description
Part-time (20 hrs./week) Worship Leader: The primary responsibilities of the worship leader will be to lead a thoroughly blended worship service and grow the music ministry. This person is directly accountable to the pastor. The candidate will possess an adaptable skill set and leadership capabilities, which will enable a worship ministry to grow. Salary: $18,000/yr.

Responsibilities
• Work with the Lead Pastor to plan the worship services.
• Lead the musical portion of worship services.
• Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church’s
worship ministry.
• Shepherd, train, manage, and care for the volunteer worship teams.
• Oversee the church’s worship tech ministry.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and retreats.
• Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church.

Requirements
• A lifestyle that demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrates skills as a vocalist and instrumentalist.
• Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes.
• Proficient in reading music.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Some formal training in music (and specifically church music) is preferred.
