Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Worship Arts, the Audio/Visual Technician will be responsible for the following:

·        Setup and calibration of audio/visual equipment for each worship service and concert event.

·        Operation of audio board during rehearsals and worship services.

·        Training and guiding AV volunteers.

·        Recommend equipment or software upgrades or repairs as needed, and maintain equipment as needed.

·        Ensure quality live and recorded sound for each event.

·        Willingness to serve as needed in other settings (weddings, funerals, etc.).

 

The following skills are valuable for an Audio/Visual Technician working in a church setting:

·        Expertise in operating analog and digital sound systems.

·        Familiarity with microphone options best suited for singers and instruments.

·        Ability to discern audio balance in live and recorded settings.

·        Patience and flexibility while working on a team.

·        Attention to detail and technical skill.

·        Excellent communication and computer skills.

 

Minimum education requirement:  high school diploma; an associate’s degree or better in sound tech preferred.

Experience:  One-year experience in audio management role.
