LOOKING FOR A BILINGUAL WORSHIP LEADER – SPANISH & ENGLISH

Hello, my name is Johny Thompson, and I am the pastor of a very small church currently worshiping in El Monte, CA called Joy Christian Center Church. We are looking for a man or woman of God who has a heart, gifting, and calling to lead God's children in worshipping our Almighty God, in Spirit and in truth!  The individual interested in leading us in worship must align with our beliefs and doctrine - please check out what we believe and our mission using the links below.  In addition, the interested individual must be willing to be faithful to the ministry role on a weekly basis, besides time away for vacations and other personal rejuvenation (we do our best to not burn anyone out). If you are interested but unable to commit every Sunday at this point, we are open to a worship leader who is only able to lead occasionally until we are able to find a permanent worship leader. The worship leader will at minimum be responsible for choosing and leading at least 4 worship songs each Sunday and for preparing the PowerPoint slides with the song lyrics.  In addition, over time the worship leader will be responsible for forming and leading a worship team. Due to the small size of our church, we are currently only able to offer a worship leader an honorarium/stipend of somewhere between $50 - $75 per week, but this detail can be discussed further.

Joy Christian Center Church is nondenominational and was founded in March of 1982. We will be celebrating our 41st Anniversary this year.  Though the church has thrived at times, we are currently in a season of building the church back up.  We are a very small church of 5-15 people on any given Sunday, and that is counting both in-person and on-line Zoom attendance.  We are excited about our church family growing in the coming year, as we are currently planning a big outreach and evangelism campaign to reach out with God’s love to the El Monte community. Thus, we need men and women with a heart for God to partner with us to love and build up one another and to love our neighbors with God’s love. That’s where you come in! We need a worship leader to glorify our Father and help us connect with His heart each Sunday.
