Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and organized Children s Ministry Coordinator to help launch and grow a safe, welcoming, and engaging children s ministry. This role will oversee Sunday programming, volunteer coordination, and check-in/check-out processes while partnering with families to help children feel known and loved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee children’s ministry during Sunday services

• Partner with church leadership to align ministry with church vision & learn Lutheran teachings

• Assist with classroom activities, lessons, and play

• Train and schedule children’s ministry volunteers

• Ensure safe and secure checkin/checkout procedures

• Create age-appropriate, engaging environments for children

• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers

• Perform essential custodial responsibilities for the two children's rooms before and after the Sunday service.

Qualifications:

• Profess faith in Jesus Christ

• Experience working with children (church, education, childcare, or related)

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to lead and encourage volunteers

• Commitment to child safety and background check requirements

• Heart for families and the church community
