Hosanna Presbyterian Church is looking for a part-time College Ministry Intern.

 

Hosanna Presbyterian Church is in the north Dallas suburb of Carrollton – uniquely situated on the west edge of Carrollton that leads into the southeastern portion of Lewisville. This family-friendly area of Carrollton/Lewisville is one of the best places to settle and raise a family by its top-notch school districts, events, parks/recreation, and dining experiences. The church is strategically situated at the juncture of two major highways – Interstate 35E and 121 – and clearly in view while driving on highway 121. Also unique is the heritage in our co-location and co-partnership for over 37 years with our Korean ministry (Bethany Korean Presbyterian Church), where we were birthed out of as a newly established independent church in order to extend our reach for the gospel to a people from every nation and language. We are looking for a part-time College Ministry Intern who is open to grow into the role of spiritually nurturing college students in this important phase of their lives, as well as help grow our college membership through outreach at local campuses.

 

The College Ministry Intern will be overseen by the Advisory Board of Hosanna Presbyterian Church.

According to the candidate, this position has room to grow (if desired) into a Pastoral Intern (and further officially installed pastoral roles).

 

Required Job Activities:

·         Be the primary Ministry Leader for the College Life Group weekly gatherings – preparing snacks/refreshments, facilitating discussion questions, collecting prayer requests, and praying for the group members. The Pastor will fully support, assist, and train (as necessary) the Intern to lead the Life Group consistently and faithfully.

·         Organize fellowship and ministry events throughout the year for the spiritual growth of the College family.

·         Periodically meet College students on campus (as able) for fellowship and godly encouragement.

·         Network with local campus ministries (e.g. UTD, UNT/TWU, UTA) to meet students in need of a church family, introducing them to Hosanna Church and coordinating transportation to/from Sunday Worship & College Life Group gatherings (as needed).

·         Be part of the visionary work of planting Hosanna Christian Fellowship on a college campus – a missional-arm of Hosanna Church to reach farther and wider for college students lost without Christ.

·         *Preferred but not required: lead praise for Sunday worship service/train & mentor praise team servants

 

Requirements & Minimum Qualifications:

·         Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

·         Available, teachable, and faithful

·         A man or woman of God

·         Current College student to Postgraduate (in any field), or aspiring seminary student (or currently matriculated)

·         **Not required but helpful – open to prayerfully consider a calling into pastoral ministry

Compensation:
