Home for Refugees (HFR) is a Christian community-based organization that seeks to “empower refugees to sustain new homes, find new hope, and fully experience life.” The Community Development Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, Business Operations Director, and Board. The position will be a catalyst to develop community partnerships to help resettle refugee families through monetary donations, in-kind donations, volunteer hours, faith and community groups, and organizational partnerships. Specifically, for fundraising, the Community Development Coordinator with the ED, Business Operations Director, and Board to determine fundraising goals and strategies in HFR’s Program Year Fundraising Calendar. This position will be responsible for the event planning and securing diverse streams of giving in HFR’s Program Year Fundraising Calendar. This position will also help to develop and cultivate a development mindset for everyone involved with HFR – staff, board, and volunteers. This role is viewed as a catalyzer of volunteer effort rather than the position completing everything themselves.
