Job Title: Interim Pastor, Hollyview Church

Status: Part-time or Full-time - Salary Negotiable

Duration: To begin immediately and remain until a permanent pastor is in place.

Geographic Location: Damascus, Oregon

Hollyview Church: We are a Baptist church associated with the North American Baptist Conference (NAB). We affirm the Bible is our sole written authority for faith and practice. As a conference of churches we have adopted the NAB statement of faith

As a worshipping body of Jesus followers, we are a multi-generational congregation with a regular attendance of approximately 150+ each Sunday. With recent growth in the last six years, Hollyview has valued and maintained one service for connection and fellowship. Growth has exceeded capacity and plans for an expansion project are in the early phases.

Overview:  The ideal interim pastor will lead the church through a time of transition as a teaching and shepherding pastor. He will help the congregation prepare for the next pastor and the changes that come and is equipped to guide the church in any needed changes and will promote unity and healing.

Accountability: The interim pastor is accountable to the Hollyview Church congregation and leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a biblically-based preaching and teaching ministry a minimum of three (3) times a month.
• Support the Elders, Deacons, and other teams and attend meetings as needed/requested.
• Provide consistent biblically based leadership to congregation and church leadership.
• Perform various other duties pertaining to the office of pastor as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Completed Masters in Biblical Theology or equivalent
• Prior experience as a called pastor and/or interim pastor.
• Fulfill qualifications as listed in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 & Titus 1:6-9.
• Experience preaching expository sermons.
