The overall duties would be to develop a student ministry aiming at evangelizing the children/youth in our church and community, promoting their spiritual maturity by deepening their knowledge of Scripture, increasing their devotion to Christ, and training them to share their faith with others.

 

Areas of responsibilities

The focus of this position would be to develop the following:

1. Junior and Senior High Ministry

2. Elementary Education ministry

a. Children’s Sunday School

b. Jr. Church

c. Vacation Bible School

d. Jr. Camp

 

Strategies

v Give oversight to the entire student ministry.  (K-12 grades)

v Be personally involved in the Middle/High School ministry.

v Be available to students for counseling, activities, teaching, etc.

v Administrate the mid-week student outreach ministry.

v Work with our school system and other agencies by reaching out to involve our local youth in Bible studies and other youth programs.

v Identify, recruit, train direct and encourage adult lay staff.

v Be involved in teaching and discipling the young people, as time permits, in cooperation with our lay staff.

v Provide congregation with annual report on state of teen ministry.

v Provide Board of Trustees with an annual budget request which will be due in October
