Testing Psychologist (Part- or Full-Time) at Gunn Psychological Services, Inc.
8300 Utica Ave, Suite 245 Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730

Gunn Psychological Services is located in Southern California with physical offices in Rancho Cucamonga and Pasadena, CA. We are currently seeking testing psychologists (neuropsychological, psychodiagnostic, developmental, autism testing, etc) who work with children and/or adults for both our offices. The provider would work as independently, setting their own hours, determining the number of clients on their case load (some of our psychologists conduct 1-2 cases per month, while others conduct 4-6 evaluations per week) while working autonomously, although with the support of a full administrative team.

Psychologists especially enjoy the autonomy and flexibility of working with our group. We have no billable-hours requirements, no case load requirements and no requirement to work with specific diagnoses. We do our best to understand the type of client that you feel most comfortable with and only assign you clients who meet those criteria. However, if a client assigned to you were to have struggles that are outside of your competence or comfort level, then we will work to find a new psychologist for that client. We believe that your clinical intake session (i.e. the first session) is designed for the client to make sure you are a good match for them and for you to determine if you are a good match for the client. We trust your professional clinical judgment to determine if you wish to add the client to your case load.

It is also worth noting that paperwork requirements are minimal. For billing purposes, psychologists are only required to indicate to us if a session occurred, what services were provided (e.g. face-to-face testing, scoring, record review, etc) and what diagnosis code is being assigned to the client. This process takes less than 10 seconds per client once the psychologist is familiar with the system. For report-writing purposes, we have templates available to assist in timely and efficient completion of the report. Otherwise, the only paperwork requirements include basic documentation that is consistent with professional mental health practice (e.g. completing your professional report).

Gunn Psychological Services has been in business for over 10 years and has over 50 providers as well as multiple full-time administrative staff members. With this infrastructure, we can easily add new providers into our system and the on-boarding process is quite simple. New psychologists are quickly and easily trained to utilize our online EHR and telehealth system. We require some basic information from the psychologist (e.g. license number, NPI number, etc) and can have the new psychologist seeing clients as quickly or as slowly as they would like. For providers who want to get started right away, we can typically onboard them and have them seeing clients in 2-4 weeks. This position would be available to any psychologist who is licensed in the state of California and has training and competence in psychological testing, neuropsychological testing, forensic assessment, developmental testing, etc. License-eligible providers may also apply. Unfortunately, we do not offer supervision at this time so are unable to take unlicensed providers who are seeking clinical hours towards their licensure. This is also not a training position, although there are several other testing psychologists in the group who are available for consultation.
