Graphic Design Intern at Graystone Church

Job Summary: The graphic design intern will work to create high-end graphics for Graystone Church in an effort to reach more people with the Gospel. This internship will design graphics for social media, our website as well as print media.  This position will primarily focus on creating and posting content on a defined schedule while keeping up to date on trends and upcoming opportunities. Graphic design often requires a fast turnaround time. Therefore, precision, flexibility and speed are preferred skills. This Position will work closely with the Creative Team at Graystone Church, and report directly to The Creative Arts Pastor.

Objective One: Deliver stunning, high-quality graphics on an as needed basis for Graystone Church.

Objective Two: Flexibility is a must as it relates to graphic design. Turnaround times and deadlines can vary from week-to-week.  Therefore, precision and speed are valued greatly.

Objective Three:  Be open to positive change. As a creative professional, we spend time and effort on projects that may not be used as originally intended. This is normal and should be taken in stride.

Objective Four:  Be willing to go the extra mile. There will be occasions when things need to get done that fall outside of our scope of work. This does not happen often, but when the situation calls for it, go that extra mile to honor Jesus.


Education/Skills:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products (specifically:  Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Also proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Mac OS
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Possesses an artistic/creative eye and graphic design skills
