The Big Picture
Grace Bible Chapel (gracebiblechapel.us) is seeking a bi-vocational Pastor.
Grace Bible Chapel is a non-denominational, Bible-teaching church in Black Lick, Pennsylvania, which began as a Bible study in 2005. Instruction from God’s Word is the heart of Grace Bible Chapel. Every program, class and activity throughout the week is designed to reach the lost and encourage spiritual growth through the teaching of the Word. Our worship services consist of hymns, prayers, praise and teaching from the Scriptures. It is our desire to rely on The Word of God as the final authority in all matters of doctrine, conflict resolution and operation. We are a rural church seeking a full time or bi-vocational Pastor who will preach the Word of God, shepherd the congregation, and equip the church for works of service.
We have been incorporated in the State of Pennsylvania since 2009 and the current church building was provided by the Lord in 2013 in a supernatural way, as only He can.
Post COVID, our weekly attendance is approximately 30.
Current attendees’ range in age from 1 to 78.
We are affiliated with IFCA.
Our church auditorium holds 150 and is air conditioned with padded pews.

The Social hall, on the lower level has a fully functioning kitchen and can seat 100 people.
We are equipped with up-to-date audio and projection equipment on both levels of the building.
The Lord has enabled us to keep the facility in excellent repair and we are debt free.
We currently support 6 missionaries at the rate of $200 per month each.
We have a successful Men’s Fellowship Breakfast and Bible Study each Saturday in addition to 2 other Bible Studies during the week.
There is approximately ½ acre of open yard adjacent to the church for outdoor activities
We are located in Indiana County, PA about 2 miles from Blairsville and 45 miles from Pittsburgh.
The cost of living and housing is comparatively lower than other areas.
There is no parsonage with the church.
Currently, there is no one on the payroll. All services needed to operate the church are graciously and enthusiastically provided as ministries by the attendees.
The church is healthy, very unified, eager to grow in the Word of God and praying for the next pastor God would have for us.
In addition to what is stated in our Doctrine Statement, we hold the following theological positions: Church Government. We believe the form of church government that best aligns with Scripture and our Constitution clearly gives final authority to the Congregation. However, a Church Board of Elders and Deacons conduct the monthly business of the church within the confines of a constitution, congregationally approved budget and approved operational policies.
Act as the Chief Elder.
Preach the Bible at all services scheduled for that purpose except for leaves for vacation, illness, emergencies, and other reasons approved by the Board.
Lead in the development of a philosophy of ministry based on Ephesians 4.
