We’re looking for a Youth Director who’s passionate about connecting with middle and high school students, inspiring them to live out their faith in bold and exciting ways. The Youth Director will join our Family Ministry team and provide leadership over the middle and high school programs, designed to not only encourage students but equip parents as well. Job Responsibilities

• Encourage, equip, and challenge parents of youth to be the best parents in preparing their children to be witnesses of God in their everyday life, into young adulthood, and beyond
• Create opportunities to engage and support young people in the broader church community
• Develop a framework to aid in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer leaders to create a joyful environment of friendship and support beyond their involvement in youth ministry
• Nurture the team of staff and volunteers that lead youth ministry areas
• Participate in the Child Safety Oversight Team, offer input and guidance to the team, and provide oversight of youth ministries to ensure compliance with Gateway guidelines
• Oversee the strategic and administrative side of the youth ministry including budget, strategic planning, curriculum selection/development, discipline strategies, volunteer scheduling, and metrics tracking

Education & Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in youth ministry
• Bachelor’s degree; Ministerial credentials are preferred, but not required
