Director of Children and Youth Ministries

Indianola First United Methodist Church is seeking a new Director of Children and Youth Ministries. This is a full-time position that involves managing the development and implementation of the education and discipleship program for children and youth at First UMC. The chosen candidate will also work with Christian Education volunteer leadership and other church staff. The candidate will be under the supervision of First UMC's Pastor.

To qualify for this position, the candidate should have a BA/BS degree, with an added advantage and have related post-secondary education or experience comparable to this position. United Methodist background is preferred. Active Christian faith in a church which is broadly compatible with the United Methodist Church required.

 

The salary for this position is $38,000-$48,000, depending on experience and training. The church is a Reconciling Congregation in the United Methodist Church. Therefore, the church expects all staff to fully support our vision of the inclusion of all persons, including LGBTQ+ persons, who seek Christ in the whole life and ministry of the church.
