First Presbyterian Kannapolis is searching for a new Pastor/Head of Staff.  We are an ECO Presbyterian church located about 25 miles northeast of Charlotte.  We strive to embrace the Great Commission and model God's love, mercy, and grace to our community.

Key qualifications include:

A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to the authority of scripture.

Ordained by ECO or by another reformed denomination and eligible for ECO ordination.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary.

Minimum of five years of experience as a Pastor or Associate Pastor with significant preaching and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

Regularly preach biblically based sermons.

Serve as head of church staff.

Collaborate with Session to clarify and articulate the church vision and align the organization and  programs with that vision.

Lead the Session and congregation and implementing outreach to the community.

Work with the Session to provide congregational care.

Moderate session and congregational meetings.

Assist church committees in their ministry.
