Christian Homeless Shelter seeks to hire Coordinator position

Job Description:

A shelter for people experiencing homelessness in Hollywood seeks to hire a Coordinator position. We are looking for part-time and full-time positions for a three-month period with an option to extend to a year-round position if desired. Approximate date of job is from April through June.

What To Know:

The right candidate should:

Be passionate about caring for people in need.
Display a professional attitude and work well with guests and staff.
Have previous work experience with people experiencing homelessness (preferably)
Be a follower of Christ as prayer and Bible study are incorporated.
Be capable to oversee various aspects of the program including fellowship and assistance with guests, community activities as well as engaging with case managers from housing and health agencies.

The Company:

Hollywood Refuge Shelter is an intimate shelter for 25 people experiencing homelessness located at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. The shelter collaborates with housing and health service providers such as Los Angeles County Dept of Mental Health, Step Up, The Center at Blessed Sacrament, My Friend’s Place and others for guest referrals into the shelter and future housing placements. Local faith and other organizations also participate through volunteering and donating resources.
