First Congregational Church of Westfield seeks a full-time pastor to serve as the Assistant Pastor for Children, Youth, and Young Adults to evaluate, create, and implement ministries that that are innovative, relevant, and meaningful to nurture a life of faith for these age-groups.

Core Functions

• Children’s Ministry (including Church School, Childcare)
• Student Ministry (including Youth Fellowship, Confirmation, Mission Trip)
• Young Adult Ministry

Other Responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Minister in fulfilling the vision of the congregation
• Digital Ministry, in collaboration with Senior Minister
• Worship Leadership & Preaching
• Pastoral Care, as coordinated with the Senior Minister
• Collaborate with appropriate committees members in the fulfillment of essential functions
• Maintain budgets for associated programming
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative staff environment
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Minister.

Candidate Qualifications

• Ordained (or eligible to be ordained) as a minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC) or with a covenantal partner of the UCC
• Enthusiastic, conscientious, responsible, and friendly
• Innovative, creative, and organized
• Thrives in a team environment
• Exhibits a strong faith and is excited to support others on their faith journey

Compensation Package: $60,000-$65,000
