The mission of the First Church of Wyandanch Ministries Inc. is to bring people of all nationalities to the saving knowledge and power of Jesus Christ. To seek and save the lost, to repair the breach (healing broken-heartedness and to bind up the wounded physically, spiritually, and emotionally), and to restore our families and communities to a state of wholeness.

Statement of Objectives

The objective of this ministry is to communicate the Word of God (through Word or deed) in such a way that it is abundantly clear that the way of salvation is through receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Reach people for Christ through:
Discipleship ministries
Influence of Christian lifestyle separating that which is societal, cultural and religiositical from that which is scriptural.
Visitation outreach.
Meeting the needs of others.
2. Baptize believers; to help each person know and accept what is of God.
a. Provide church events to attract people and help them to become supplying joints (revival services, special musical presentations, sports activities, food festivals).
b. Follow-up programs for the newly converted to build strong fellowships between other believers.

3. Teach the Word of God to encourage Christian growth, strengthen relationship with Jesus Christ, and to discipline to be the supplying joints in the Church.

Doctrinal Statement

The church believes in the verbal, plenary (full, complete, absolute) inspiration and authority of the Scriptures. believes that the Bible reveals God, the fall the man, the way of salvation,and God's plan and purpose in the ages, Believes in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Believes in the deity, Virgin Birth, and sinless perfection of Jesus Christ. The church believes that salvation is 'by grace" plus nothing and minus nothing. The church believes the condition of salvation is faith in the Immaculate Conception, the sinless life,the sacrificial death, and the justifiability of Jesus Christ.The church believes that people are justified by faith alone and is accounted righteous before God only through the merit of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The church believes Jesus Christ is the only way of Salvation. The church believes in the visible and personal return of Jesus Christ (The Messiah). The church believes there is a heaven and there is a hell. The church believes that all who do not receive Jesus Christ as Savior will not go to heaven. The church believes the Holy Bible contains the Inspired Word of God and the Word of God is without error. The church believes God cannot lie. The church believes God cannot change. The church believes that God breathed upon MAN of flesh and blood to write the eternal plan for salvation and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

First Church of Wyandanch Ministries, Inc. is a 100% tithing church where a body of believers live and conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a church where the community lives to please the Lord and bear fruit in every good work and steadily grow and increase in the knowledge of the Lord. The church loves God, hate sin, and stay properly aligned under God's authority.

First Church of Wyandanch Ministries, Inc. is a family church. The church believes that Jesus is the cornerstone of the house and the home of every member. The homes are deposited and entrusted unto God's protection and care. Through skillful and godly wisdom is our house built and by understanding and is established on a sound and good foundation, because the WORD is preached without compromise. God restores the families of First Church of Wyandanch Ministries, Inc. and adds to the church daily as God sees fit.

First Church of Wyandanch Ministries, Inc. has a vision and heart for the community. The church invests in the lives of the youth and provides Christ-centered and meaningful lessons and activities which cause the daughters to be polished after the similitude of a palace and  sons to be as plants grown up in their youth. A Family Fitness Center shall be established in the Wyandanch Community as a recreational safe haven for all to enjoy. The church shall provide a safe environment free of violence, profanity, and lawlessness. First Church of Wyandanch Ministries, Inc. shall be the home of a Christian School where every member of the school community shall experience accountability, responsibility, through academic achievement and success.

Pastor Job Description

Preaching and Teaching

A Pastor is one who speaks for God. The task is to communicate God's Word. As such, primary tasks of the Pastor shall be:

To preach the Word of God (Acts 14:15, II Timothy 4:2). Shall be the responsibility of the Pastor to be the principle “preacher” discharging this duty with love, faith-fulness, impartiality, and reverence, knowing that the pastor will be held accountable for the welfare of the flock (Hebrews 13:17).

Pastoral Care

A priest is one who "stands before” the task is to represent people to God and God to the people. While understood that every Christian is a priest (I Peter 2:5, 9; Revelation 1:6), Shall be the task of the Pastor to represent to God the concerns of the flock. In this regard the Pastor shall be the shepherd, given to: watchfulness (Hebrews 13:17;I Peter 5:2), gentleness and affection (I Thessalonians 2:7,8), exhortation, warning and comfort (I Thessalonians 2:11; I Corinthians 4:14,15), and an example to his congregation (I Peter 5:3). Specifically, the priestly functions of the Pastor shall be:

Intercessory Prayer (Acts 6:4; Ephesians 6:18)

Noonday Prayer and Tuesday Evening Prayer Service
The Church shall support the Pastor in and promoting special times of prayer.
Health and Recovery Visitation

• Any individual desiring to be ministered to by the Pastor must make their request known by written request or phone call to the Church Secretary.

Counseling

Priority shall be given to members of the local church.
Decisions as to the amount of time and persons counseled shall be at the discretion of the Pastor.

Public Worship

The Pastor is responsible for the order of worship and arrangements of special services.
The Pastor is expected to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, always striving to maintain a godly order in worship.

Administer Ordinances

The Lord's Supper shall be administered through the direction of the Pastor. Communion shall be every first Sunday following Morning Worship.
Baptism shall be administered by the Pastor.
Dedication and Christening shall be administered by the Pastor.

Perform Weddings

The Pastor shall have the right to grant or refuse the ceremony of marriage according to his conscience.
The Pastor shall be tasked to develop a wedding policy concerning counseling, etc.
Manage Conflict

The Pastor shall work to facilitate peace among members of the staff and the congregation, seek to win back the estranged and to reconcile those with broken relationships, particularly when such conflict threatens the welfare of the church.
At discretion, the Pastor shall review with the board any problems or concerns of the above and work with them in determining solutions.
Outreach

• A king is one who rules for God. The Pastor in this respect shall be an elder who "rules" for God in the hierarchy of church leadership
(I Peter 5:5; Hebrews 13:17). The kingly functions of the Pastor's duties shall include:

Administration (Hebrews 13:17)

The Pastor shall have oversight of the total church operations, acting as a visionary for the future direction of the church and facilitator of existing ministries and programs. The Pastor shall have the privilege of forming ministries. The Pastor shall also have the power to form ad hoc committees such as he deems necessary for the purpose of researching, brainstorming, etc. Such committees will not have legislative power but will serve strictly in the advisory capacity.
The Pastor shall be responsible for supervising or providing supervision of the office and officers of First Church of Wyandanch Ministries, Inc.
The Pastor shall bring recommendations to the official church board for the hiring as well as retirement of all hired personnel.
Any problems concerning the staff should be reported directly to the Pastor for consideration and determination.
The Pastor shall be the leader of the Church in all of the actions. The Pastor shall be a member of all Boards, committees, ministries of the church and shall be the Moderator or appoint another temporarily.
