Elementary Associate

 

Purpose

To provide creative, visionary, & ministry leadership for all aspects of the KidsLife Ministry.

 

Position Status

Full-Time; Specialty Staff, non-ministerial

 

Accountable to

Children’s Pastor

 

General Responsibilities

Vision

Assist the Children’s Pastor in instrumenting the overall vision and mission of KidsLife in all aspects of Elementary Children’s Ministry.
Aid in planning calendar events for all KidsLife Elem. Calendar. (Includes calendaring, room reservations, invitations, activity, and clean up).
Lead in all aspects of Vacation Bible School for the related ages and other duties as required.
Assist in leading large group lessons on Sunday mornings & Wednesday Night.
Collaborate with the development of special curriculum as directed by the Church Leadership Team.
Coordinate communication to parents & families of FBCO.
Support all events led by KidsLife for kids & families.

 

Volunteers

Recruit, equip, and minister to all small group leaders and technical teams.
Assist in securing substitute teachers alongside our administration staff.
Help in the on-boarding of new volunteers into their desired roles.

 

General Expectations

Active and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by action, attitude, and behavior.
A passion for Children’s Ministry and to see families grow in faith together.
Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
Prompt office hours as agreed upon with immediate supervisor.
Observation of office etiquette and business ethics.
Minimal use of work time for personal business or errands.
Participation in weekly KidsLife staff meetings as scheduled.
Plan and work pro-actively to fulfill all expectations with excellence.
Competency with basic computer software (Microsoft Office & Google) and be willing to learn new software - as necessary

 

Work Hours

37.5 hours per week
Regular office hours will be determined by the Children’s Pastor. Hours may be flexed to accomplished ministry needs (when evening hours are required).

 

Relationships

Reports to the Children’s Pastor.
Works closely with all areas of ministries within FBCO.
Annual performance evaluation conducted by Children’s Pastor.
