First Baptist Church of North Platte, is a Christ-centered, gospel driven fellowship of believers located in beautiful central Nebraska. First Baptist Church exists to experience God through following Christ, Becoming like Him, and committing to share God's love. We are a strong Bible-based congregation of about 60 members with an average Sunday service attendance of 45. While over time our membership has declined and is aging, we aspire to grow our membership with new members and young families.

We are prayerfully and actively searching for our next Pastor. We are seeking a Pastor who is led by the Holy Spirit and a Pastor who God has chosen to lead a congregation of faithful believers, church leaders and a multigenerational congregation.

First Baptist is seeking a senior pastor willing to:

• Lead and grow the church body in its goals to worship and glorify God and disciple the believers.
• The Pastor shall function as the chief executive, and oversee and direct the Church’s day-to-day operations, to include strategic planning of the Church’s mission, vision, and values.
• Provide pastoral care for our flock
• Provide a consistent testimony of a personal redemptive relationship with God through faith and belief in Jesus Christ.
• Give evidence of a daily walk of prayer, Bible study, and demonstrate an ability to win others to Christ
• Preach one weekly service and participate in church functions
• Train, equip, and lead the church in evangelistic outreach ministries and participate in mission activities

Education: While education is important the ability to lead, serve and present the gospel to the flock is priority. Pastoral experience preferred. While we are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Nebraska, we would be open to receive inquiries and applications from candidates who are outside the Baptist denomination.
