Duties of a Staff Psychologist in the Federal Bureau of Prisons involve conducting mental health intake screenings, creation, and implementation of CBT-based individualized treatment plans, conducting CBT-based group treatment, intervening on mental health crises, and working through interdisciplinary consultation to address the mental health and re-entry needs of our population.
The Complex consists of a high security male U.S. Penitentiary (USP), two medium security male Federal Correctional Institutions (FCI), and a minimum security female Satellite Camp. There are residential and non-residential treatment programs focused on helping young offenders adjust to incarceration and minimize rates of recidivism, treating trauma-related and substance use disorders, as well as suicide prevention.
