If the Lord has placed in your heart to shepherd and minister to a tight-knit Asian American community, EFC Chino Valley may be the spiritual field for you. We may be a smaller community, but we make it up with our love for our brothers and sisters and for Jesus himself. As our English Ministry has matured in both age and spirituality we are now earnestly seeking a shepherd passionate about this congregation and, more importantly, for Christ.

We are specifically looking for a Pastor to lead our English Ministry, consisting mostly of young adults with a small group of high schoolers and collegians; our English ministry currently has around 10 - 20 people, depending on the season of the school year. Our Mandarin congregation is larger with around 40-60 consistent members and are mostly above the age of 40. We also have a sizable Children's ministry with about 10-15 kids. Our current dynamics fit the standard family-oriented immigrant church, but we have a passion to see our spiritual family grow and reach other communities.

Responsibilities:

While this position will be supervised under the senior pastor and will cooperate alongside the deacon board, the position will focus mainly on responsibilities regarding the English ministry. The core responsibilites for this position to develop our English congregation include but are not limited to:

Collaborating and working with ministry coworkers to establish a vision for the ministry
Weekly sermons
Lead topics such as practical evangelism training, discipleship, biblical teaching, small group leading, etc.
Assist in day-to-day logistical administration
Training and equiping members
Oversee fellowships and perform outreach/inreach to members on a semi-consistent basis
Qualifications:

Seminary Graduate
Proficiency in public speaking
Proficiency in basic technological software such as Microsoft office
Independent and responsible character
Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus
EFC Chino Valley is a Chinese/English Church that is a part of Evangelical Formosan Church (EFC), adhering to EFC By Law and practices. We welcome female applicants for this position and also accept Baptism by sprinkling.
