Volunteer Coordinator at Door of Hope
Pasadena, CA

The Volunteer Coordinator (VC) plays an integral role on the Development Team, overseeing Door of Hope’s volunteer program, in-kind donations, and events. The VC is often compared to a “matchmaker” and/or “bridge-builder.” The VC is a matchmaker for volunteers who hope to donate their time/skills/passions to Door of Hope, as well as a bridge-builder across Door of Hope departments (Programs, Facilities, and Development). The VC reports to and works closely with the Associate Director of Development to engage churches, community organizations, and businesses in volunteer opportunities. A savvy communicator and “people person” with a customer-centered approach, the VC will be responsible for “championing” our work and will become the face of Door of Hope with in-kind donors and volunteers. The candidate should be a relational, ministry-minded person with a heart for seeing lives changed—the lives of our families experiencing homelessness, and the lives of those who give of their time and resources to them.
