Cornerstone Woodlake Pastor

 

Though not limited to the description, this gives a good idea of what we are looking for at Cornerstone Woodlake, In the interview process we will discuss the job description.

A steward of God's people, church, finances along with

 

Provide a consistent biblically based sermon on a weekly basis that challenges and supports our walk with Jesus Christ.

 

Two sermons a week. Sunday service at 10am and more informal services on Thursday evenings at 6:30

Involvement with Evangelism and Community Outreach (we are open to change and innovation).

Display good leadership skills and follow-thru in administrative, staffing duties, vision casting and showing us how to reach our community.

Minister to those who are hurting or sick (thru visitation/counseling),

 

If not from the EPC denomination if selected the new pastor must go through candidacy through the EPC.

Personal Attributes (in regards to willingness, not ability)

 

A desire to get to know our church and its people on a consistent basis.

 

On call when needed.

 

We are a small church so the pastor will at times seem like a janitor and a preacher in the same week. Our elders and deacons try to eliminate those times where the pastor is needed as the janitor etc. but as a small church you must be willing to be involved to the best of your ability in the day to day running of our church.
